My name is Koh Jin Yeow and I am 17 years old this year. My secondary school was Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary school and my primary school was Naval Base Primary School. I gave myself an English name so that it is easier for people to remember me and I named myself Vince. I found it short and sweet and easy for other people to remember. I like to play sports especially basketball. It is a game which I have been playing since I was Secondary 2. I am now picking up hockey in the Anderson Junior College which I am currently studying in. I have familiarized myself in the junior college lifestyle and environment. It is an interesting game that requires teamwork and togetherness to win. I like to watch movies and go out with my friends and relax during the weekend. I like to listen to music especially of the pop and classical genre as I feel that music can soothes your brain and calm you down. My favourite artist is Jay Chou as I feel that he is very talented and can create very good tunes for songs. Besides, he also plays the piano very well.
I support Manchester United and I hope they can repeat the Treble this year. My favourite player is Cristiano Ronaldo as he can run very fast with the ball and fakes his opponents with his dribbles. He has been a key to Manchester United form this year. My favourite NBA team is the Phoenix Suns. They can shoot the ball very well and they are always playing an offensive game and thus their game is very exciting to watch. They have a good point guard with good vision like Steve Nash who makes good assists for their teammates and leads the team very well.
My ambition is to be a lawyer as I was inspired by lawyers in the courtroom and how they argued and fight for their clients. The pay is also good and the job is very prestigious.
For holidays, my family usually goes to a small town named Batu Pahat. It was the place my mother was born and usually I will visit my relatives there and my cousins. I will also go on a shopping spree and buy clothings and shorts home. The food there is also very delicious and at a affordable price. I have cousins living in England, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and this gives a wider contacts for me when I travel round the world next time.
My current class in ajc is 16/07 and we are getting together quite well. I hope to get inside the main 20 of the hockey team and help the team achieve something big. I am also entering National Service soon and I hope to get fit physically by participating in PE and hockey physical trainings. I hope to grow more mature in junior college and be more mature like a young adult. This year I am aiming to get good promotional results and be promoted to jc2 where then I will hope to get good A level results and get into a good course in university.
